The beast inside me screamed
I tried hard not to unleash it..
My eyes went pale..
My face went bloodless
My body felt squeamish
It pleaded from inside..
For the first time, I wanted to..
I wanted to, for once, be vocal
It was one among the myriad stuff

Yet the sound of silence beeped..
I went quiet, taking in all that
I actually regarded with a grotesque
emotion..
Nothing but the sound of silence
blared unmatched, with the same unnerving superior monotone..

Nothing can make it everything
Nothing but that voice can make it everything..

Silence silenced me..
But I silenced silence and for the first time..
Got the voice out of me..
The silence failed to silence me..
I silenced it..

I spoke out loud..That voice matters
